About Lucas
Lucas Nicolao, an Argentinian ceramist based in Chile, is interested in exploring the nature, composition, and relation of elements from their origins.
His work is focused on human bonds and how they arise through support, embedding and attunement to achieve a balance. Through his sculptures, he seeks to create a reciprocal dialogue between crafts and interpersonal relationships.
His works have been exhibited in European biennales (Florence Biennale 2021, Salon Révélations 2022) and have been published in international magazines.
"My archetypal realities are translated into sculptural systems that create a reciprocal link between crafts and human processes. I create an interaction between ceramic bodies that gives life to imaginary narratives. By exploring the density of visual limits, I want to create a relationship between observation and intimacy through which the position of the object and the observer become interchangeable".
